Vaccine Cold Chain
Solutions for your Vaccine Cold Chain
The upcoming covid-19 coronavirus vaccine cold chain is complicated with temperature challenges from start to end. Use Traceable ®, TraceableLIVE ®, Cole-Parmer ® and PolarSafe ® products during storage and transport to keep your vaccines safe and safety compliant ensure your vaccine reaches the end user uncompromised. From refrigerators, dewars, shipping containers to temperature data loggers, we have the products you need to safely store and transport your COVID-19 vaccines.
To manage an effective vaccine Cold Chain and be compliant, you must monitor the temperature while the vaccine is in storage and transit (and log the results for future review). This ensures your vaccine efficacy has not been compromised. Cloud-based technology allows you to manage this from a distance for added confidence.
6 WAYS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH VACCINE TEMPERATURE MONITORING
Excursion-Trac Data Loggers
Traceable® USB data logging thermometers for refrigerator / freezers, stores up to 10 unique alarm events; range -50°C to 70°C
Ultra-Low-Temp Excursion-Trac Data Loggers
Traceable® USB data logging thermometer for ULT freezer uses a Pt RTD stainless steel probe; range -90°C to 105°C
Traceable® Wifi Data Logger
Connects to Wi-Fi and provides continuous data transmission to the TraceableLIVE® cloud-based interface for remote notifications; range –50°C to 60°C
Traceable® Ethernet Data Logger
View current temperature conditions anywhere—cloud-based TraceableLIVE® interface sends email, text, and push notifications; range –50°C to 60°C
Ultra-Low-Temp Wifi Data Logger
Maintain compliance with easily generated vaccine reports using TraceableLIVE® cloud-based interface range –90°C to 105°C
Although many vaccines at stored between +2°C and +8°C, there are also vaccines stored at -20°C and even newer vaccines that need to stored at ultra-low temperatures (-80°C). What is common in each situation is they have to reliably stay at the desired temperature and are organized for easy access and management - all the while ensuring the vaccine Cold Chain is not broken.
The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines are shipped in a packa-ging which does not fit into existing racks used. The packaging box contais 195 vaccine vials and has an odd size which does not fit most freezers internal dimension.
The all new All New Racking System is a rack which can hold the boxes supplied by Pfizer/BioNTech directly in order to keep the handling as simple as possible and secondly to make a racking system suitable for the everyday use at the clinics. The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines are supplied from the factory in a stack of 5 boxes each holding 195 vaccine vials. The stack of boxes which have a footprint of 232x232mm have an odd size for storing in ULT freezers. Handling these loosely wrapped and 10 kg heavy stacks safely, present a challenge. When handling the vaccine stacks in/out of a freezers, into the dryice shipping containers and back into a freezer there is a real risk of dropping the content on the floor. Requested by some of the central storage hubs we have developed two racks for safer handling of the vaccines
In many applications, vaccine transportation will involve smaller amounts being moved short distances to secondary distributors, clinics, or simply to another building across the street because a refrigerator failed. This becomes a critical point to ensure the Cold Chain is not broken, and your vaccine is not compromised.
